Welcome to Mejor De Nada Quarter Horses!
Mejor de Nada is a name
that was not easy to come up with but it’s very
simple at the same time. It’s a Spanish name
that is translated into "Better Than Nothing" .
Being a south Texas based operation the name
just seemed to fit!
Mejor De Nada is owned
by my husband TJ and myself Amy Williams of
Sandia Texas. We have a large blended family of
4 boys and 2 girls... ranging in age from 20 to
5. So we are really used to a lot of noise and
commotion
around here. Nisa Berry is the trainer/jockey of
all futurity horses. She is actually from
Colorado but has been here in South Texas for 6
years. We are very blessed to have her here and
feel she is extremely talented with a
horse, and really consider her just one of the
family.
Our goal here is to breed
great mares to outstanding stallions to produce
exceptional equine athletes. Please feel free to
look at our
broodmares page to see our upcoming crop for
2012. We will also be selling a limited number
of embryos from a select few mares on
Our Horses page.
It's extremely important
to us that each horse in our program is started
correctly, and brought along at his or her own
mental and physical ability. Nothing good ever
comes from being rushed, or forced, and we feel
very strongly about that. They are all treated
differently because they are all different
individuals with different personalities as well
as abilities. Their health and mental stability
is always first. We really strive for these
horses to go on into other hands to continue
their career successfully whether it may be as a
youth horse, open horse, or rodeo horse.
A "perfect fit" is an
absolute must!!!
We will soon have our
What's New page, where you can read about what
is going on with us and our latest
accomplishments.
